Frame Rate Converter (FRC) for 200/240Hz 3DTV

The FRC-V vector based Frame Rate Converter provides Motion Estimation and Motion Compensated (MEMC) frame rate conversion from 50/60Hz directly to 200/240Hz, eliminating movie judder and motion blur. Additionally, it also removes the disturbing “halos” present with legacy solutions. The new “Near Halo Free – NHF” technology provides the sharpest and clearest picture for the latest generation of flat panel displays.

The advanced functions of the FRC-V include a 3DTV formatter that supports the mandatory HDMI v1.4a 3DTV formats. The MEMC engine also performs the appropriate frame rate conversion functions to make 3D content look as smooth as the 2D content.

The FRC-V also supports advanced LED backlight dimming functions, increasing dynamic contrast performance while reducing the power consumption.
