Job Title:
ASIC Design Engineer
Job Description:
Work on state-of-the-art deep sub-micron VLSI ICs in the field of digital audio and video (MPEG-2 and -4). Candidate will be responsible for one or more functional modules in the chip from architecture to specifications, design, functional and timing verification, emulation, test vectors and floor-planning.
Job Requirements :
BSEE required, MSEE preferred. 3+ years of MPEG codec architecture and design experience. Must show a track record of quality designs which meet functional and timing specs. Solid knowledge of ASIC methodology including HDL design, verification, synthesis, static timing verification and design for test is required. Additional knowledge of digital audio and video signal processing is a plus.

Job Title:
ASIC Design Engineer RTL
Job Description:
The ASIC Design Engineer RTL will be responsible for architecting, designing and coding RTL using Verilog for the PHY and MAC of the Baseband chips, and will be performing simulations and verifications to ensure that his/her designs meet specifications. The engineer will also be performing synthesis and post-layout simulations. Specifications must be generated before the design and also updated regularly.
Job Requirements :
The ASIC design candidate should have at least 5 years of experiences in ASIC design and digital chip design. He/she should be familiar with Verilog and/or VHDL. Experiences in wireless and FPGA are preferred. Knowledge and experience with WLAN, UWB, Bluetooth or other wireless technologies is a plus. Prefer to have experiences in designing OFDM, FFT and Viterbi decoder. Experiences in embedded ARM are also preferred.
BSEE is required. MSEE is preferred.

Job Title:
Hardware Engineer
Job Description:
Linux embedded software programming for Sigma's new chips. Responsible for the analysis, design, programming and debugging of firmware code applications on embedded processors. Work often involves digital hardware and software real-time operating systems. Programs in machine language, assembly language and high level languages, i.e., C, C++. Ports Linux-based operating systems (OS) with ucLinux on Sigma's embedded processors (PicoTurbo ARM7-compatible and MIPS) and provide drivers for all its peripherals (PCI, IDE, Serial, Infra-red, VGA, etc.).
Job Requirements :
BSEE required, MSEE preferred. In-depth knowledge of Linux embedded software for all peripherals on a variety of platforms and OS. 3+ years experience in one or more of the following fields: video, audio, MPEG. Solid knowledge of digital signal processing (filters, FFT etc.) is required. Additional knowledge of MPEG, NTSC, PAL, Digital TV is a plus. BS degree or equivalent experience in programming computer applications, and knowledge of software documentation, hardware design, utilities, machine language, assembly language and high level languages, i.e., C, C++.

Job Title:
Senior RF Designer, Wireless Division
Job Description:
Architects and designs wireless RF chips and mixed-signal/analog circuitry for the digital chips. Writes detailed design specifications based on the architectures and designs of chips. Performs design simulations to verify the designs. Responsible to test and debug the chips in the lab. Works closely with Layout Engineers to optimize the layout and performance of the designs. Works with test engineers to complete test programs in order to bring the chips to production.
Job Requirements :
BSEE required, MSEE or PhD EE is preferred. 5+ years experience in analog/mixed signal designs, 3+ years experience in RF designs. Knowledge of Cadence analog design tools (Spectre, Analog Artist, XL Schematics) required, knowledge of Silvaco tools is preferred. Expertise in analog and mixed-signal design, preferred to have experiences in ADC, DAC, PLL, VCO, AGC, and Filters. Expertise in RF design, preferred to have experiences in Power Amplifier, LNA and Mixer. Experience in designing analog and RF using 130 or 90 nm CMOS process. Familiar in using lab equipment to test and debug chips.
